Vestiges1 is an experimental performance piece for a solo performer and tracked eye / face movement. The performer is digitized as an interactive 3D character and joined by a variable number of non-tracked 3D characters. The composition can be played and controlled by specific eye movements and is accompanied by live-produced electronic sounds. The performance is designed as a variable concert installation that deals with the topic of digitalization in a very direct and vulnerable way. The sounds directly refer to the composition '17 Harmonies' by John Cage; they are timeless, fragile, reverent, and deny any kind of musical direction in a classical sense.
